Keyword Discovery - FAQ
Does Keyword Discovery use a stop words list to filter out common terms?
Yes, we do use a stop words list to filter out searches with common terms.
How can I search for keywords asked as a Question?
Keyword Discovery has a special feature for showing "Question Phrases". That is, search phrases in the form of a question.
Eg: "How do I find keywords"
To access the Question Phrases database:
- Using the Research Tool, enter a Search Term (do not enter a question).
-
- Select the Question Phrases database from the drop-down Database menu.
- Click the Search button.
Why do we use a stop words list to filter out common terms?
Stop words are in the majority of search phrases. This means that if they weren't filtered out, Keyword Discovery would take a long time to return search results. You would also be returned a long, unrelated and almost unusable list of keywords.
We do display the stop words in the results themselves (we do not alter the results in any way).
